Bill Condon snakker Breaking Dawn
På mange måter er det vel oppladning nok å se på the pretty, men borte hos HitFix har de et veldig bra intervju med Bill Condon om Breaking Dawn, som også er verdt å få med seg:

"Did you storyboard this movie out more than any you had before?
Yeah, well, it's an effects movie. We have as many effects shots than 'Avatar' or more in the two movies. Especially with big things like the wolves or Renesmee and everyone's powers so it lead to a lot of pre-vizing [pre-visualization] too so that you really are getting a sense of what you need and what visual effects companies are going to be doing the work."
"You actually haven't had that many movies with a good deal of visual effects in them previously. Was that exciting to work on?
It was. Because, let's face it, there is so much you can do now and I think our most spectacular effects I don't think it's even worth talking about before the movie opens, but it's what happens to Bella in the last half of 'Breaking Dawn, pt. 1' and it's just real. If you were making a real movie about a vampire pregnancy and there were no other vampires involved -- if you were making 'Rosemary' Baby' today -- just the subtle things you can do to really communicate the sense of a body under attack and getting weaker and weaker? It's extraordinary. So, learning this stuff has been one of the great joys of doing this movie."

In TV, where directors come and go, you always hear the actor saying, 'Eh, the director just tells me where to stand. I know the character.' How open were the actors to actually taking more direction than you'd expect?
Well, I don't know about more, but certainly exploring with me and they were incredibly open. Y'know, I keep calling this 'Twilight grows up,' but in a way it is. All of the characters take tremendous steps in this story and that's part of what turned me on to the material, to collaborate with Kristen Stewart as she goes from being the Bella we know in the first three movies to being a bride, being someone who finally has sex, gets pregnant, gets sick, gives birth, dies, become a vampire, becomes a warrior? Just think of that journey. I guess for none of them it was just playing the same old thing. Jacob becomes a man in this movie. He moves away from being the third leg in a triangle and breaks free of that and his background and his family and his pack and becomes his own person. So, that was a journey all the actors were eager and open to collaborate on."

I think people will be surprised by everybody. In general, Kristen has such a huge journey to take and to watch her become this fierce, protective, powerful mother figure? I think that will surprise people. Taylor surprised me with his commitment and the dark places he goes to in this movie. And Rob, I think there is some sense that he has relaxed into this part and finally willing to show more of himself. His own charm, wit and grace are in evidence in this movie. It surprised me in how relaxed he seemed in something he's fought a little against before.
You mention you think of this as 'Twilight grows up' because of the events that take place in the film. Is there anything you did with the vampires or werewolves that reflects this as well? Are they more sinister or fearful?
I think certainly that really comes into play in the second movie. These movies so far have mostly dealt with these vegetarians who don't attack humans except for some of the newborns in the last movie and some of the people in the first couple, but here it's a collection from around the world of vampires with specific gifts. So, I think yes, there was a sense of maybe seeing a darker side of them. And I also think we spend a lot more time in the final movie with Arro and his more overtly sinister group of Volturi."
"I think you know this, I was on the set of 'New Moon' when they shot those first scenes with Michael Sheen and the Volturi and it seemed at the time that it was the funniest thing to him. To be playing this character. Is he just having a ball when you work with him?
Yes, he is. That whole group. It's interesting, because you spend chunks of time with just Rob, Kristen and Taylor and then the Cullens. And there is a moment when it's Volturi time and it just brought a completely different vibe. It's British camp at its best. I don't mean camp in a bad way, I mean just people who are having a blast and being very clever all the time."

Comic-Con er rett rundt hjørnet!
Comic-Con er rett rundt hjørnet, og EW.com lover å ha live stream fra begivenhetene. Det aner meg at det dukker opp noe på youtube også:-)
Ikke bare kommer stjernene, de skal også vise nye klipp fra Breaking Dawn. Bill Condon har avslørt hva han IKKE vil vise - brudekjolen skal holdes hemmelig, og ulvene blir trolig ikke ferdiglaget i tide. La meg foreslå mer Isle Esme?
Selv om Harry Potterfilmen er i ferd med å danke ut salgstallene til New Moon, og Twilight er under direkte angrep på Comic-Con, har jeg en sterk følelse av at noe er på gang. Verdensherredømmet er ikke over. Jeg tror heller at vi straks skal i gang med oppkjøringen til du-vet-hva i november.

Trailerreaksjoner
Av all hotness i hele Twilightsagaen tar 1:19, også kjent som Robward knuser hodegjerdet i senga, kaka. Og livet av meg. Death by Twilight.
Jeg noterer meg også dobbel skjorteløshet.
Det er ikke bare Taylor Lautner som har besøkt gymmen - ryggtavla til Robward (1:19 igjen) er helt nydelig. Lite spray on der! Og mer nakenhet er i vente:
På den søte siden likte jeg godt uttrykket til Edward ved alteret - sky, stolt, lykkelig forelska, ærbødig, alt i ett.

"Speaking from the Baton Rouge set where both installments of Breaking Dawn are shooting simultaneously, Wyck answered some of the Twi-faithful's more pressing questions.
Q: Where does the story split in half?
A: "We basically want to take the audience through the emotional part of Bella's journey as she becomes a vampire. The first part will cover the wedding, the honeymoon and the birth." The film ends just before she embarks on her supernatural transformation."
"Q: The book has three segments, two of which present Bella's point of view and a middle that's devoted to the perspective of her rejected werewolf suitor, Jacob (Taylor Lautner). How is that handled?
A: "The story will break from her and follow Jacob throughout the course of the movie as he struggles with his own dilemma. There is a sense that as Bella and the Cullens (Edward's makeshift vampire clan) deal with her pregnancy, the world is still turning outside with Jacob.""

Breaking Dawnhimmelen
Jeg er på fullstendig Breaking Dawn overload, det er alt det handler om i dag. Borte hos Loving Rob ligger det nå intet mindre enn 187 bilder fra filmingen i natt.
Tror ikke set-stalkingen blir bedre enn nå, det blir mye vanskeligere i Baton Rouge og Washington.
Twilight Lexicon har full oversikt over alle detaljer, inkludert nattens debatt om Edwards armbånd og gifteringene. Dessuten kan de rapportere at vindusplass til filmingen koster latterlige 30 dollar.

Breaking Dawn braker løs
Jeg har lenge prokrastinert det å skrive en nyhetspost om Breaking Dawn. Det begynte med at jeg fant et par ting, tenkte jeg kunne samle opp litt, og vips var det gått ti dager eller deromkring, og vips var Breaking Dawn i gang, liksom.
I natt kom nemlig rapporten om at Kristen Stewart hadde ankommet Louisiana for å starte filminnspillingen.
Celebuzz feirer med å oppsummere 10 ting vi vet om Breaking Dawn: lønna går opp, RobSten er ute av sekken, manuset skal være FANTASTISK (i følge Peter Facinelli så da er det sant), Reneesmes fødsel vil bli intens, det er en haug nye folk med (vil de bli stjerner nå?), blant annet Maggie Grace fra Lost, ingen 3-D, men sex (jeg kjøper den prioriteringen :-), Ashley Greene vil være sprekere fordi hun har vært så mye på helsestudio (på dette tidspunktet burde de ha vurdert om de klarte seg med 8 nyheter, men det kunne også vært 11 fordi Chaske Spencer også er mye på gymmen), og til slutt: Bill Condon er mannen som tar avgjørelsene.
Nikki Reed gleder seg til å bli tante, og til å utforske forholdet til Jacob.
Jeg kan ikke vente til jeg får se Jacob utforske forholdet til Reneesme heller. Drømmedama er jenta i midten:

WOW! Pans labyrint er en av de vakreste filmene jeg har sett, og de som har sett 300 vet at det ikke vil bli noen problemer med magemusklene til Robert Pattinson i BD. Ellers er jeg imponert av namedropingen av filmer som Avatar og Benjamin Button - man kan mene hva man vil om de filmene, men gode effekter er det. Det er til og med håp for håret til Jasper.
Den eneste bekymringen nå er jo at det ikke blir noe igjen å le av!

"- studio is secure and gated but busy.
- a lot of construction going on in the lots (unsure if related to filming or not, it seems likely)
- they are using the lot across from studio also (for storage and vehicles at this point)
- Bill Condon has been spotted in town and is staying at a private location not too far from studios".

Breaking Dawn for alle penga
Ryktene svirret i går, og nå har Summit offisielt bekreftet at hele bøtteballetten - dvs the Cullens: Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Elizabeth Reaser og Nikki Reed og er ombord for Breaking Dawn, i tillegg til Billy Burke - for ikke å glemmee Rob, Kristen og Taylor som har vært klare en stund, pluss noen av smårollene.

BD-produsenten Wyck Godfrey har snakket om hvorfor de valgte Bill Condon som regissør:
""There's a maturity to his filmmaking that his performances in his movies are so truthful and so real and yet also, with 'Dreamgirls,' you have a real kind of orchestration of images that is beautiful," Wyck said.
Whereas for us, Bill's recent work with musicals seemed like it would be a drawback, Wyck saw that as proof that Bill would be perfect for filming a movie like "Breaking Dawn."

Bill Condon er forøvrig homofil, og jeg fant en artig artikkel om hva det kan bety for filmen (jeg er ikke helt med på at homofili automatisk øker glamfaktoren, men artikkelen er skrevet av en homofil mann, jeg skylder på han). Får vi - endelig - musikalnumre? Det vil si, vi har allerede en musicaldel i Twilight, aka Lion and Lambscenen, bortsett fra at Catherine Hardwicke ikke lot dem synge. Neida - Bill Condon har visstnok sagt nei til musikal allerede:-(

Siden vi er i gang med Breaking Dawn og jeg ikke har blogget om BD på en stund, tenkte jeg at det var på tide med en liten nyhetsrunde:
BD-produsenten Wyck Godfrey har snakket om hvorfor de valgte Bill Condon som regissør:
""There's a maturity to his filmmaking that his performances in his movies are so truthful and so real and yet also, with 'Dreamgirls,' you have a real kind of orchestration of images that is beautiful," Wyck said.
Whereas for us, Bill's recent work with musicals seemed like it would be a drawback, Wyck saw that as proof that Bill would be perfect for filming a movie like "Breaking Dawn."
"I think that theatrical and operatic about the visuals of ['Dreamgirls'] that you have to have in a fantasy film," Wyck said, adding, "I'm really excited to see how he works with the actors and really hopefully brings out the best performances we've seen yet from all of them.""
